Collier Heating & Air is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to answer any question you may have.
If your system was purchased or installed by us, simply contact us with your name, address, or equipment model number and serial number. If you did not get your equipment from us you will need to contact the manufacturer's customers service and provide them with the same information.
It’s common for a furnace and/or A/C unit to have some noise during its operation. Noises can become louder over time as they age and start developing some wear. We would be glad to do an in-home inspection of your system to see if the noises are normal, need serviced or need replaced.
We install many types of HVAC equipment including forced air gas furnaces, electric heat pumps, oil furnaces, standard air conditioners, geothermal systems and mini split ductless systems from manufacturers such as Tempstar, Comfortmaker, Bryant, ClimateMaster, Weil-McLain and Mitsubishi Electric.
There is no definite amount of time that a furnace can last. It's similar to life expectancy of a person. Some last much longer than others based on how well they are taken care of and how hard they are used because of extreme weather conditions. Leaving maintenance and care aside, a furnace can last 15 to 30 years and should be replaced when repair costs become more a hit on your budget than buying a new system.
The size of your unit depends on the size of your house and how well your house is sealed, such as new doors and windows, how well your house is insulated, and the type of climate you live in.
We accept cash, check, card, PayPal and Venmo. But to make things easier for customers, we also work with several financial institutions. This gives the customer an easy manageable monthly payment. We have a long working relationship with many financial institutions that can approve your new heating and air conditioning system and enable you to pay it off without an overabundance of interest.
Yearly maintenance plans are worth the cost for several reasons. They can reduce the overall cost of a system going down if properly checked and cleaned. Replacing your filters and cleaning key components during a scheduled maintenance can be a huge factor in your system running smoothly for years.
Yes. Our technicians are available 24 hours 7 days a week for an emergency call. Whether your furnace went out in zero-degree weather in the middle of the night or we are experiencing a heat wave of hundred degrees outside. Collier Heating & Air will be available for all your emergency needs.
The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) means the ratio of cooling output divided by the energy that your system is using. The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient your system is. We typically are installing residential systems with a SEER rating of 16 or higher but there are more efficient systems out there as high as 22 or 23.
This is a very common question that we are asked on a daily basis. It normally better to replace them at the same time if you can afford it. If you are on a budget and cannot afford to change both then we will do what’s needed. Basically, changing them at the same time will save you a lot of labor costs in the long run.
